My Bashful 10 to 11 Month Old

Well I have really dropped the ball with blogging.  My charger for the computer broke so we have been out of service, but now we are back in business.  So to catch up Liam is 11 months old today!!!  I don't know how this happened so fast.  He is such a big boy and is going through a independent phase that is a little difficult.  I have to hold him down with my legs to change his diaper and get him dressed. Most of the time he still gets away.  He loves crawling up the stairs and I am trying to teach him to go down backwards but he gets so mad if I turn him around.  It is one of the most stressful things everyday preventing him from throwing himself down the stairs face first.  Our home is split level and its really hard to keep the stairs blocked off on the bottoms and tops.  I cannot wait for the blessed day when I don't have to worry about him and stairs anymore.

  He officially has 8 teeth and loves to use them...especially when giving mommy kisses.  Ouch!  but I love it anyways!  I feel like I am constantly feeding him and all he wants to do is eat.  I'm having a hard time thinking of new foods for him that are simple, healthy, easy, and that he will like.  There's nothing more frustrating than taking the time to prepare food for him that he just turns his head and dead bolts his mouth shut.  

One of my favorite things is when we meet new people Liam gets super bashful and cuddles up to me.  It makes my entire day/week/month/life!  Seriously any cuddle time with this little guy makes me the happiest mommy in the world and I just want to freeze time.  I love it!  

Anyway life is pretty great with this little guy!  I love him more and more each day and can't wait to watch him discover new things and explore.  It is truly the best!

My Happy Lil' 9 Month Old

Liam has passed the 9 month mark!  It's hard to believe.  He is crawling everywhere these days and is my little shadow.  He loves hide and seek when he is in the mood and is pulling himself up on things.  His favorite thing is to eat and to watch others eat.  He will make you feel really guilty if your eating in front of him and not sharing.  He gets this sad longing look in his eye as if to say, "please can I just have a little?"  Its heart wrenching.   I have been a lot braver lately letting him try new foods in small pieces.  I'm trying to let him at least taste everything I eat and at this point he likes anything and everything.  Including dog food and bones...) :  He loves to chomp things with his little teeth like rice crispies and he especially likes it when you pretend to share his food.  I think that is a good sign.  He is starting to slim out a little because of all the crawling.. I know what your thinking but yes he has leaned out a little!...a smidgen...ok it's hard to tell especially when holding him but there has been a decrease in rolls.  Anyway Happy 9 months handsome Liam!  

My Rolling, Scooting, Persistent, 8 Month Old

Would you believe that 30 seconds before this picture was taken this little guy was screaming mad?  I was shocked when I pulled out the camera and it was like a switch was flipped and he went into full cheese mode.  I don't think this little one is camera shy at all...

 We have reached 8 months and it is so bittersweet!  I know I am a broken record when I say time goes by way to fast, but I love seeing the milestones.  Liam has 6 teeth now and likes to use them!  I have the welts to prove it.  Luckily I haven't had to much trouble with him biting during feedings but I feel like I am playing with fire every time.

 I have also seen a huge improvement with introducing new foods just in this last month.  Yogurt was a huge hit!  Also foods such as vegetables that he hated in the past he will tolerate now...except pea's.  

 He is still a daddy's boy 100%.  When daddy is home he is at his maxed out happiness.  He laughs so hard he can barely breathe it seems like.  I like to think though that when he is upset he wants his mommy.  Jason might argue that but I am going to believe it anyway.  

 Liam desperately wants to crawl and is getting extremely close.  He gets on all fours and rocks back and forth and than drops his hips back down to the ground.  He can scoot backwards really well though and usually just roles to his destination.  He never gives up until he gets what he wants.  This can be difficult when you don't want him to have something like your phone, computer, paper, food, and Mozzie's bone.  Mozzie likes to help Liam by purposefully giving him his bone to chew on.  I cannot for the life of me figure out why.    

 Um.. don't you just want to kiss those cheeks?  Don't worry I'll do it for you x100!

My giggly 7 month old

As always I am late with this post, but the 7 month mark has hit!  This little guy is growing so fast and getting more and more handsome.  He has a third tooth breaking through and the gums are very swollen.    

He is still not mobile yet but we still have begun to baby proof in ways we never expected. Anything within a one foot radius of us will either be drooled on, thrown on the floor, or banged to death.  This includes cell phones, lap tops, food, Mozzie, pretty much anything and everything.  You learn to baby proof your life in ways you never thought of.  For example after I got out of high school I never imagined I would have to hide my phone while texting, or playing games..but I do it constantly now!  I always try to text literally behind Liams back so that he wont grab my phone and drool all over it.  I have accepted it is only a matter of time before it breaks from drool.  He gets very frustrated if he does see my phone and I won't let him have it.  I have tried giving him older phones and they just won't do.  It has to be the phone that is in my hand at that exact moment or the world will end!

The past few weeks have been a blast though.  Liam is such a happy little guy that loves to play and laugh.  He is still very much a daddy's boy but loves to dance and play with mom when dad's at work.  We especially love to jump up and down to songs like gangnam style.  Liam laughs so hard and if you have heard his laugh you can't help but laugh too. 

Liam's got a pretty awesome sleeping schedule down and it is the bomb!  I cannot express my gratitude to this little heavenly boy for being a good sleeper.  

We are just trying to enjoy every single day with him because time is going faster and faster and I am realizing I literally cant take one second for granted.

My handsome 6 Month Old!

Six months have flown by so fast!  My sweet little baby boy has gotten so big but definitely just as cute!  I just wish time would slow down just a little bit!!!

 The last couple months we have been introducing new foods.  It always ends up super messy and pretty much all the food ends up on Liam instead of in him!  So far the only things he likes are fruits, and sweet potatoes.  If I give him vegetables he just lets them sit in his mouth and won't close it or swallow.  Eventually he spits them out.  My friend and I made a bunch of baby food and froze them in ice cube trays but he doesn't seem to like the defrosted food.  I have had a lot more success with the store bought baby food.  Anyone else have that happen?

 Liam fell asleep playing the other day so I just covered him up and let him sleep there.  When i went to check on him this is what I found.  So Cute!

 Ha Liam looking good in his Carmelo sweat suit!  It's kind of an inside joke in our family.  Carmelo is the only NBA player I can remember because he is named after a delicious candy bar!  haha

My rollie pollie 5 month old

 Liam has reached 5 months!  He is turning into a little chunk and I love it!  I love to kiss his cheeks, tummy, thighs, arms, feet, and pretty much everywhere!  I can't believe how much he has changed in just a month!  He is rolling over all the time both ways, and we always find him in strange positions and  places in his crib.  He loves to grab his toes and play with his feet.  He laughs when you tickle him or throw him in the air!  He loves to rough and tumble play.  He is grabbing so much more with his hands now and anytime you have something in your hands he wants it...preferably in his mouth which is ironic because anytime we put food in his mouth he makes the worst face ever!  We are working on introducing some new foods and h absolutely hates pretty much everything so far.  He loves to watch Mozzie now and thinks he is so funny.  He laughs a lot more and loves to yell and talk to himself.  He is a total Daddy's boy and loves to fall asleep with Jason.  He is just more mellow when his Daddy is around which I can understand because Jason has a calming affect on me too!

Overall he is our world and we love him so much!  Everyday with this little guy is a gift!

My adorable drooling 4 Month Old

Is it 4 months already?  Oh man how time flies!  Here is our darling little 4 month old!  All these pictures look similar because he would only sit still for a few moments so I snapped them all at once!  He is always on the move and looking around at what's going on!  He is sleeping like a champ and is the happiest in the mornings.  My favorite part of the day is going and getting him out of his crib and seeing his beautiful smiling face!  He also rolled over for the first time a few nights ago and loves to stand up with some help.  He hates his car seat and will arch his back and use his head and legs to block himself from settling in.  He also drools buckets and buckets and spits up all over his mommy and daddy.  His favorite is turning his head at just the right moment so it all goes down inside my shirt....mmmm I love warm spit up baths.

3 months!!!l

I can't believe it's 3 months already!  My sweet little new born bundle is now a crazy, wiggly, smiley, baby boy!  ahhh Time goes too fast for sure!  I'm blessed enough to be able to stay home and enjoy every little second with this guy!  

Some fun new developments are Liam is smiling more and more everyday, his daddy even got a little chuckle out of him the other day.

His favorite thing is just for you to look at him and talk to him!  

He doesn't always cry when he wakes up now.  Many times I will hear him talking in his crib just enjoying the morning.  

He is starting to suck his thumb...not sure how I feel about this but it is cute.

He thinks its hilarious when he has a blow out and you make icky faces while changing it.

He loves to wait until I am confident enough to remove the burp rag and then he spits up all over me.

Pretty much whenever he is awake he is moving like a crazy person and looking around.

He loves mirrors, and to walk around up high on your shoulder or in a carrier looking around.

He loves watching the computer screen or movies on the tv.  

He falls asleep pretty much every time we do tummy time!

He is starting to swat and grab at objects!  

He is a 100% flirt..I think he gets it from his father! haha

and drum roll....He is sleeping 6-8 hours every night!  ahhhhhhhhhh I never thought this blessed day would coming!  and I need to publicly apologize for cursing Baby Wise because obviously it didn't work immediately but he did adjust to his schedule and it is going great!  yay!
